Potomac Highlands

Dolly Sods
Dolly Sods Wilderness is located on the Cheat-Potomac Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest in Tucker and Randolph Counties, West Virginia.

Seneca Rocks
Purchased by the federal government in 1969, Seneca Rocks is one of the best-known landmarks in West Virginia. These rocks have long been noted as a scenic attraction and are popular with rock climbers.

Civil War History

This project is a grass roots effort dedicated to the promotion of tourism in West Virginia by capturing the Civil War history of the region especially along State Highway 33.

The County Commission serves as the chief administrative body of the Pendleton County Government. The jurisdiction, duties and responsibilities of the Board are established by West Virginia law. Primary among these powers is the responsibility to set the strategic direction, fiscal priorities and management practices of Pendleton County.
Economic/Community Development Pendleton County is   located at the lower end of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. It is one of the most unspoiled and scenic areas of the state.   The county’s economic base is primarily renewable resources of timber and agriculture, the value-added processing of those resources, and tourism-related businesses.
